Broccoli and Cheese Sauce

Cook broccoli until it is tender. Set it aside.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan.
Stir in 2 tablespoons flour.
Cook over medium heat for one minute.
Gradually add 1 cup of milk while stirring constantly.
Boil gently for a minute.
Stir 1/2 cup grated cheese into the hot sauce.
Continue stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.

Pour cheese sauce over broccoli.
Salt and pepper to taste.
